ITALIAN POLYCHROME CRECHE FIGURE OF A MALE IN DOME,18th Century. Figure constructed of terra cotta with a fibre torso. Having particularly finely rendered features including nicely executed facial features, including glass eyes; veined hands and sandaled feet. Garments are in linen. Mounted on later wooden base and cased in a later dome. Accompanied by original invoice/documentation; purchased in Paris in the 1950's. - 12 7/8" high, figure only. Dome, 16" high. Estimate $400-600
