BATMAN AND ROBIN IN 1981 "BUCKLE UP FOR ACTION" COMIC STRIP. In 1981, the US Congress amended the "Consumer Product Safety Act" which empowered the "National Highway Traffic Safety Administration" to enforce child safety seat and seat belt laws. The present lot was likely produced for the 1981 public-private partnership campaign "Belt 'Em For Safety." It is a DC Comics hand-colored printed mini-comic that the consumer would fold out to read and it features Batman, Robin, and The Penguin. There is a lower right indecipherable ink signature and date (8/26/81). Framed. Not examined out of frame. - 6 x 19 inches; frame: 13 x 27 inches.
