Undated fragment (lower left) of Pablo Picasso's "La Danse Barbare (Devant Salomé et Hérode)," from the Saltimbanques series. It was executed in 1905, published in 1913, and is part of his celebrated Saltimbanques suite. It depicts a classically posed nude figure, captured mid-gesture with an arm raised and hip cocked with contour lines evocative of ancient Greek vase painting. Framed. Not examined out of frame.
