ARTIST PROFILE: Linda Connor is a distinguished American photographer, born in 1944, who is widely recognized for her evocative landscape photography that explores themes of spiritualism and the mystical. After earning degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and the Illinois Institute of Technology, she began a prolific teaching career at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1969. Throughout her career, Connor has traveled extensively to countries such as India, Nepal, and Mexico, using large-format cameras to capture sacred sites and timeless landscapes with a sense of abstraction and clarity. Her significant contributions to the field have been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship and three National Endowment for the Arts grants, and she is the founder and president of Photo Alliance.
