AMERICAN SCHOOL Mid-20th century Abstract Fractured Figures Oil on canvas-board This abstract expressionist painting features a dense, energetic composition dominated by a vibrant palette of orange, lime green, and deep blue, structured through a series of intersecting vertical and angular lines. The artwork suggests a pair of stylized figures rendered through fractured, cubist-inspired planes, where the facial features are simplified and integrated into the broader geometric background. The artist employs a heavy, gestural brushwork style, using varying textures and thick applications of paint to create a sense of movement and depth within the flattened perspective. Framed. DIMENSIONS: 37 x 22 inches; frame: 43 x 29 inches $150-160
