Manuscript document signed by Clerk, Samuel E. Lozott, Deed of Manumission and Release of Service of slave James Winchester, allowing him to join regiment of Colored Troops. 4to, 1p, 28 June 1864, with blind-stamped seal of Circuit Court, Queen Anne's Country, Maryland.

2 Discharge Papers, one quite soiled/worn.

14 other various documents having to do with soldierd' financial and legal matters near the end of the Civil War and after. Condition varies.
