ENGLISH SCHOOL (17th Century). MARIA. REG: SCOTORVM, circa 1602. Engraving of Mary, Queen of Scots (1542-87). Half length with hair under a lace cap, with open ruff, gown with high collar, and bodice, holding crucifix in left hand. Within an oval border with Latin inscription below. Unframed. Note: The artwork is glued down to a hard surface; it is mounted with hinges to a removable back board. - Plate / Sheet: 6.25 x 4.5 in
