TWO IVORY COAST DAN PEOPLES PASSPORT MASKS, Mid-20th century. Patinated hand carved wooden miniature Dan Peoples masks collected in the Ivory Coast. One dark patinated mask is of a bird and the other is a human face with an attached cloth on its nose. These types of masks are commissioned for preventative, protective or curative purposes. Both show signs of usage. Consignor collected the small face mask in the field. - 4 inches (tallest one).
