TWO JAPANESE FRAMED WOODCUT PRINTS OR UKIYO-E, 19th century. One depicts woman in kimono with child. Backgro depicts buildings and a cityscape, possibly in Edo (modern-day Tokyo). Other depict woman in ornate kimono, holding fan. Book with text and images is visible above her head, suggesting scene related to reading or literature. Background depicts decorative circular patterns. This is also a bijinga print, and the elongated, slender style of the figure is characteristic of artists like Utagawa Kuniyoshi or Keisai Eisen. Individually framed. Not examined out of frame.
