TWO SOUTH ASIAN TRIBAL FISH PENDANTS. Set of two in origin necklaces with fish pendats which are characteristic of tribal and minority group jewelry from Southeast Asia, particularly the Hmong people of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and China. The large, stylized fish pendants are a very common and significant motif in Hmong silver jewelry. The fish represents prosperity and fertility. Both necklaces feature multiple dangling elements, including sun-like medallions with tassels and small bells. These elements are designed to create a melodic jingle as the wearer moves, which is a common characteristic of Hmong jewelry. The spiral springs on the large fish pendant on the left are also a specific detail often found in Hmong pieces. Estimate $120-160
