ARTIST PROFILE: Vincent Vallarino is a multifaceted American photographer, collector, and gallery owner who began his career at age 14 and later studied under masters such as Minor White and Paul Caponigro. His artistic work is characterized by a long-standing interest in form and abstraction, explored through still lifes and landscape studies from locations like Iceland and Luxembourg. Beyond his own photography, Vallarino has made significant contributions to the art world as a major collector—donating over 1,000 works to institutions like the International Center of Photography—and as a collaborator with icons like Richard Avedon. His career culminated in a 25-year retrospective at the Currier Gallery of Art, which houses a master set of his photographs in its permanent collection.
