A RENNAISANCE REVIVAL WALNUT AND BURL-WALNUT MANTELPIECE, late 19th century. In two parts: the overmantel section with a rectangular crown with carved stylized flowerheads above an arched similarly carved crest and coved frieze over a mirror-plate flanked by turned columns with stylized Ionic capitals flanked by small shelves on turned supports, the fireplace surround with a rectangular shelf above a frieze centering a foliate and flowerhead rectangular reserve, the opening flanked by double fluted columns with anthemion and flowerhead capitals on a plinth base - Top: 79 in. x 59 in. x 10 in., base 50 in. x 70 in. x 10 in.
