A LARGE CHINESE BLANC-DE-CHINE PORCELAIN FIGURE OF GUANYIN, Qing dynasty, 18th century. Standing on a lotus flower, the figure molded with a serene expression, dressed in long robes embellished with beaded tassels and a necklace around her chest, her hair in two long braids along the shoulder crowned with a tiara, her left hand holding a wicker basket - 14 in. high.

PROVENANCE: On loan at The Birmingham Museum of Art, 1984-2005.
