AMERICAN EMPIRE MAHOGANY SECRETARY, early 19th century. In two parts. Upper case has triangular pediment and concave frieze over glazed panel doors opening to shelves. Lower case has slant front opening to fitted interior; concealed long drawer and two deep long drawers; shaped apron; bracket feet. - 79 1/2 in. x 43 in. x 22 in.
Estimate $1,500-1,800

With some light scattered surface abrasions and minor veneer losses to right rear crown molding, right lower front corner of upper case, and on lower case to the top left and right rear areas. The interior padded surface could use new leather insert and some re-gluing to fitted compartments.
