FINE PAIR SHEFFIELD PLATE COVERED CHAFING DISHES, by Matthew Boulton, Birmingham, circa 1820. Shaped oval, with scrolling rocaille serpentine borders; covers with scrolling foliate ring handles with armorial crests on either side; the bowls set into warming dishes with pierced tin liners; all on scrolling foliate feet - 14 1/2 in. long.
