This watercolor is a study for a church window at The Old Stone Presbyterian Church on Public Square in Cleveland , Ohio. The window was given to the church by Secretary of State John Hay PROVENANCE: Given by the artist to John Hay, and by descent to the present owner.

1555 - JOHN LA FARGE - STUDY FOR A WINDOW - board slightly yellowed - face of board laid down onto reverse of mat - which appears original. Pinhole at upper left on lintel and holes from drafting pins round architrave. This condition report is prepared by Sloans & Kenyon's specialists as a service to our clients.
