The trunk is in overall good condition. The abrasions to the leather surface are indicative of use. There are intermittent losses of finishing screws and brass trimming nails. A partial loss is found on the corners of the case where leather is worn. The interior hinges have been replaced over the years. The metal liner shows corrosion in some areas. One support on the underside base is missing.
