The empire console table has been recently conserved. The frieze shows one section where surface abrasions were carefully toned. Further, the applied molded edges along the frieze show prior restoration, and will require stabilization. On the columns, secondary wood movement created unsettling in the primary veneer surface. These areas have been addressed by a conservator. The mirror plate has been replaced over the years. Intermittent worm damage was found throughout.
