As this piece comes to Sloans & Kenyon from the Alice Pike Barney Collection, we are confident that it dates to the late 19th century. The presence of carved details popular during this period further confirms this date. The stool is in very good condition. The interlocking keys are contemporary replacements and the surface has been refinished.
