Sale 29 Lot 882

AMERICAN FEDERAL STYLE CAMEL-BACK SOFA, 20th century, mahogany and burgundy toile. Serpentine padded crest, out-scrolling arms, and similar loose seat cushion with conforming seat rails raised on square tapering legs - 34 in. x 84 1/2 in. x 27 1/2 in.
Estimate $700-900

Very good condition; sturdy frame of solid construction; minor surface scratches to edges of legs. Would prove a lovely piece when newly upholstered.

Thank you for your detailed questions. We have not provided an exact date range, since it closely follows Federal examples of the late 18th century popular throughout the 20th century. To determine the stuffing, I would need to examine the loose seat cushion, which I am prevented from doing without damaging the upholstery.
