Baltimore resident Joyce Scott is a sculptor, jeweler, printmaker, installation artist, performance artist, and educator who specializes in weaving, quilting, beadwork and glass. She exhibits, performs, and lectures nationally and internationally . A major retrospective of her work over the past 30 years was held at the Baltimore Museum of Art in 2000 and went on to tour ten American museums.
She has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, and the American Craft Council.
