The chairs survive in very good condition. They appear with age cracks, replaced glue blocks, and proper repairs to the dowel joints. This is fairly common to seating furniture dating to this period. The chairs have been restored over the years, and attention should be given to one arm support (armchair) and the crest rail (side chair). These joints have loosened and/or prior repair will need strengthening.
