Not framed, wax lined. Fine craquelure throughout with pigment separation and ground showing through. Losses at extreme edges. UV: Possible vertical repaired tears (13 in. approx. 8 in. from left edge, with 4 in. x 7 in. area of inpainting in upper left sky, along all edges of work, 10 in. x 9 in area area at lower left corner. Also possible horizontal repaired tear through lower third of work extending into masts of ship, with 5 in. x 4 in. area of inpainting on cliffs at right and scattered areas of inpainting elsewhere in sky and water.
