CORRESPONDENCE FROM MARY CASSATT, DANIEL RIDGWAY KNIGHT, ASTON KNIGHT, JOHN ROCKEFELLER, AND OTHER NOTABLES. Album of 88 autograph calling cards, letters and notes to Grace Whitney Hoff. Most dated 1906 - 1907, Paris, on personal or European hotel stationery, some with crests of persons of title. One R. Knight letter includes signed pencil sketch portrait on reverse of Ledoyen, Champs-Elysees menu presumedly depicting Mrs. Hoff. - In red leather album, 9 3/4 in. x 13 3/4 in.

NOTE: Grace Whitney Hoff (1862-1938), a prominent American philanthropist, who resided for most of her life in France, is best known as the founder of th Foyer International, 1906, in the Latin Quarter in Paris. Known as the Student Hostel, it became part of the University in Paris in 1936.
