ENGLISH REGENCY BRASS AND WROUGHT-IRON ANDIRONS, Early 19th century. Each button-mounted ball-form finial on inverted baluster-turned standard with spurred cabriole legs and snake feet, together with bed warmer with chased cover and well-turned handle - Andirons: 14 in. x 10 1/2 in. x 15 1/2 in. Warmer: 41 in. x 11 1/2 in. diam.

1. Is the finish original? Is everything else original (assume the original scre-in feet are missing)?

We believe the piece may have been refinished over the years. The feet have become separated from the chest over the years.

2. Do you have more pictures?

Absolutely, what angles would you like to see.

3. Looks like it''s made from oak.? Is it?

The secondary wood is oak

4. Are there any cracks or splits to the wood anywhere?

As so common, we found hairline age cracks on the sides of the case.

5. Why is the wood faded toward the bottom of the bottom drawer? Is it water damage?

The discoloration is most likely from ultraviolet, rather than from water damage.
