ENGLISH GEORGE III MAHOGANY MULE CHEST,18th century. Molded-edge rectangular top above six graduated cockbeaded drawers with brass pulls, flanked by fluted quarter-round columns on elongated plinths; swelled bracket feet - 38 1/2 in. x 66 1/4 in. x 22 in. Estimate $1,000-1,500
We believe the faux-fronted drawers are probably later adaptation. Very good condition with some age cracks, mainly case sides; two front feet have been reattached
Thank you for your question. The rectangular top is hinged and opens to a shallow storage well. The upper aligned drawers are faux fronted.
