ITALIAN CARVED MARBLE AND ALABASTER BUST OF A RENAISSANCE MAIDEN ON STAND, 19th century. Possibly representing Laura de Noves, the base with applied bronze plaque inscribed "Uno Spirto Celesto, un Vivo Sole fu'quel ch' i' vidi...Petrarca" - 24 in. tall, including base.

The bust and base are an assembled piece. The bust is turn of the century and the base is late 19th century. The bust does not fit precisely on the base.
Bust: There are repairs to the backs of both shoulders; hairlines on dress; small chips to edges throughout. The triangular part of the bodice is loose. There is a large chip to the front of the headdress.
Base: There is a large chip to side edge of the base and a smaller chip on the back edge of the base.
