TIBETAN JEWELED SILVER MOUNTED DUNG-DKAR, 19th century. The white conch inlaid with silver medallions enclosing Buddhist emblems, the central medallion repoussé with a dragon chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom, within silver repoussé mounts depicting mouse, buffalo and scrolling foliate decoration.
Estimate $600-700

NOTE: The Dung-Dkar white conch is one of the Ashtamangala. It has been used as a religious instrument throughout the Tibetan religious music history.
