Sale 35 Lot 1311

CONTINENTAL CLASSICAL BURLED WOOD CENTER TABLE, 20th century. With ebonized meandering-bordered top, conforming drawered case; quadripartite base with ram's-head capitals and hoven feet joining rosette-inlaid medial shelf. - 30 in. x 42 1/2 in. diam.
Estimate $2,500-3,500

Thank you for your questions. The center table dates to the 20th century, and stands as a high quality example of Classical taste. I did not locate a manufacturer''s label or mark during my examination. One hoven foot was cleanly fractured and professionally addressed, so the prior repair is not visually obvious. I would be delighted to send detailed images.

Prior Condition Report:

Excellent condition without warping or raising to veneered surface. Examination found minor, almost imperceptible, chips to drawered frieze; age cracks most notably to medial shelf; repair to one hoven foot.

Unsold
