PROVENANCE:

Illustrated in Edgar Miller Jr., American Antique Furniture. Lord Baltimore Press: MD, 1937, pg. 441 pl. 808.

It was wonderful seeing you again, Philip. Certainly, as you saw, the slant-front is a nice one and being illustrated adds to it. I turned the desk over early this moning and found that the proper right front foot was pieced. Going over the desk, I found minor veneer losses, general surface abrasions, hardware replaced, and age cracks. Otherwise, it''s in good shape.

Sold for $2,600
