Washington D.C. architect and artist Dickson Carroll's finely crafted and brightly colored wood sculpture has taken many forms over the past 40 years from organic, natural shapes, abstract landscapes, and sculptural representations of classical music to functional furniture design, decorative art, outdoor sculpture and architectural models. His ROMP Gazebo stands in the Macomb Playground in northwest Washington.
Lots 1663-1666 are being sold to benefit the Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), a non-profit in Reston, VA. GRACE promotes interest in visual arts through education programs and exhibits of emerging and established artists. The following works, along with others, mostly by Washington artists, were donated to GRACE by Sallie Mae, Inc. and formed part of their corporate collection in their headquarters in Reston.
