AMERICAN LATE FEDERAL MAHOGANY-CASED AND EGLOMISÉ MANTLE CLOCK. John W. Bennett Clockmaker, Old Greenwich, Conn. paper label. Pillar and scroll case, brass urn-form finials; cream painted and floral decorated wood dial, Roman numerals; the eglomisé panel depicting a house by a river. With pendulum and key - 24 in. high x 14 in. x 4 1/4 in.

Glass panel with losses to paint. Wood face has craquelure. Clock case is as follows: age cracks throughout, chips to edges throughout, repairs to feet, small loss of veneer along top edge of the glass panel, repair to one part of pediment; repairs on back of the case include: at top of one corner, near one back foot, middle edge. Brass finials are possible replacements.
