NIGERIAN/CONGOLESE BLACKENED CARVED WOOD BAULE CEREMONIAL MASK, early 20th century, Akan region. The oval shaped human facial mask is surmounted with a grooved decorated hairdo over a high forehead above open, curved slit eyes, narrow nose and small oval shaped mouth. Together with three other masks(4) - Largest: 15 in. high.
