GEORGE II SILVER TWO HANDLED CUP, SR maker's mark, other marks rubbed.; 20th century. One side with 'PBH' monogram and engraved 1749 - 3 oz.; 2 1/2 in. high.
Estimate $600-900

Apart from the date of 1749, the cup is 18th century in appearance. It has a hand-hammered texture and scrolling arms particular to the George II period style. The piece may not be English since the marks are not congruent but it has been made in the George II style.

The foot has slight warping. In overall excellent condition - no splits, repairs or dents.
