FINE GANDHARAN GREY SCHIST FIGURE OF BODHISATTVA,circa 4th century. Standing on rectangular plinth carved with figures depicting the like of buddha flanked by two columns, each side with large rosette, wearing a dhoti and necklaces, his hair is arranged in curls and is gathered at the top in a double-looped knot secured with a jeweled filet - 30 in. high.
