[SLAVERY]. Two items: First, printed and manuscript tax document, Washington, D.C. Name of Robert Tweedy (signature). Various tax amounts including tax on one male and one female slave, for 1830, amount $4, signed by tax collector M. Billing. Oblong 8vo. Second, inventory listing of John Fassett's property, February 4, 1799. 12 mo., 10 pp, total $3670.65, Worcester County, signed by several appraisers. Certified as true and perfect copy on July 27, 1799, by James B. Robins. Among the inventory listed at least two Negro men and one Negro woman.
