ANSONIA "NUBIA" MANTEL CLOCK. Circa late 1800s. Eight-day time and strike spring driven movement; beveled glass covers porcelain face with Arabic hour markers and open escapement; enameled iron case mounted with two brass front large furry five-toed paw feet matching oversized mystical Nubian beast on each side panel; rectangular bronze frieze below dial depicting children at play; gilt accent scroll work; brass works stamped "Ansonia Clock Co., Patented June 14, 87 (?), New York, U.S.A." - 11 in. high.
Estimate $500-700

Condition: appear to be in working order; case has a few minute scratches on top, otherwise in very good condition
