NAPOLEON III BRONZE-DORÉ AND SÈVRES-STYLE PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK, Last quarter 19th century. Time and strike spring driven movement; bronze-doré case, raised on four feet; applied scrolling foliate mounts, urn and bow finials; hand-painted Sèvres-style porcelain panel inserts, one depicting a courting couple in a landscape; the dial with Roman hour markers, centering nesting birds; marked Paris; works marked "Japy Frères & Cie, Med d'Honneur", circle encasing initials "AF", "#1575". - 11 1/2 in. x 8 1/2 in. x 4 3/4 in.

Condition: appears to be running, both time and strike; case is in very good condition; few minor spots of minute gilt loss
