FRENCH EMPIRE ORMOLU FIGURAL CLOCK, Early/mid-19th century. Time and strike spring driven movement with bell strike; brass dial with geometric design, silvered chaper ring with Roman hour markers; brass works stamped with cursive initials "ACD"; bronze-doré figure of Amphitrite, goddess of the sea, seated on cast rockery with gilt bronze anchor; clock decorated with cornucopia sculpture, gondola to navigate tumultuous sea with mythical creatures at each end, all in high relief depicting Neptune in pursuit of Amphitrite; plinth resting on feet of coiled snakes - 22 in. high.

Condition: appears to be working, both time and strike; case has two or three spots of minute rubbing of the gilt
