Fitted with two vertical file boxes, each containing movable board mounted with iron lever; the exterior with paper labels, one reading "104 U.S. Colored Infantry Rice to Simmons H.", the other "Authentic Antique Purchased by National Archives, Made in 1868 for Filing Letters, Bills, Deeds, Wills, Vouchers, Briefs, Pamphlets, Etc. Federal Repository of Historical Documents" - 12 1/4 in. x 11 1/4 in. x 13 in.
