GEORGE III MAHOGANY ENGLISH TALL CASE CLOCK, SIGNED JOHN IVISON OF CARLISLE. Circa 1810. Time and strike weight driven brass movement; brass engraved dial with chapter ring overlay, black Roman hour markers, outer ring with Arabic minute markers; dial center with scrolling decoration, signed "Jn o Ivison, Carlisle" below XII, calendar dial with Arabic markers above VI; applied brass spandrels; arch with brass lunar dial, Arabic 29 1/2 day markers, hand-painted moon and agrarian scenes; mahogany and mahogany inlay rectangular waist door flanked with wood mount fluted full columns; broken arch bonnet with carved rose decoration, mount for finial (finial broken off), metal mount free-standing fluted column each side of bonnet door - 92 in. high.
