The top section with two alphabet rows; centered with inscription "Mark my Julia how the roses, Emulate this damask cheek, How the bud its sweets discloses, Buds thy op'ning bloom bespeak, But dear girl both flowers and beauty, Blossom fade and die away, Then pursue good sense and duty, Evergreens which ne'er decay"; the bottom section embroidered Julia Dean, Aged 7 Years, 1817; surrounded by flowering trees and birds; the whole within strawberry border. No visible tears or holes surrounding nails. There is a hole over the letter R in the alphabet row. There is a small stain to the right of name/date. Overall fading and yellowing consistent with age.
