EMBROIDERED AND PAINTED SILK PICTURE, first quarter 19th century. Silk embroidery and watercolor on silk ground. Depicting a young girl with sheep, within a landscape; incorporating chenille stitches; the whole within a silk floral double wreath embroidery. The reverse with two paper labels, inscribed in a different hand, "For Mary Ann Chatter from Aunt Mary" and "With best love from Your Mother." - Framed - 6 1/2 in. x 5 in., medallion; 13 3/4 in. x 11 1/2 in., whole.
Estimate $300-400

Several tears to the silk ground. Otherwise very good. Minor wear to the frame associated with age. The back of this frame has not been opened.
