There are also signs on the front of building stating: "ELIZABETH SUTTON, DEALER IN FOREIGN SPIRITUOUS LIQUORS" and below that sign two signs left to right stating: "NEW INN" and "NEAT WINES." A customer riding a horse is entering the side entrance to New Inn. A rare and early piece of American folk art depicting a Federal brick business building, possibly from Connecticut.
