Very sensitive, spontaneous, freely painted portrait studies in brown of two views of the face of a young boy.
Brass plaque on the center front of the frame states: "Sir William Orpen." A relatively thick label on the verso, quite possibly that of the artist, states "Sir William Orpen, R.A."
