NOTE: Mr. Fastov has used this funnel for almost 40 years, as recently as August, 2012, for transferring from large multi-gallon containers to small pint or quart containers liquid chemicals, such as acetone, mineral spirits and toluene. The funnel remains in excellent condition and has not suffered any damage. This approximately 170-year-old implement demonstrates why pewter was indispensable to our forebears, and it is still functional after 170 years due to its durability.
