Depicting. a castle (Schloss Thalwitz or Dallwitz) on top of a wooded bluff (viewer's left), which is overlooking a river with the city of Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) in the center distance. A shepherd and sheep are in the foreground (viewer's right). Dr. Heinrich Fuchs of Vienna, who wrote the Schindler catalog raisonné, Emil Jakob Schindler (Vienna 1970) and was regarded in 1993 and for many years before by the art world and virtually all major auction houses, as the art expert to be used regarding the authentication of Schindler works of art, provided Mr. Fastov with a Gutachten. This Gutachten was Dr. Fuchs' written unqualified opinion that Mr. Fastov's Schindler painting was an authentic painting by Emil Jakob Schindler, dated June 15, 1993, a copy of which will be provided to the purchaser.
