SEVEN SHAKUDO NANAKO KOZUKA, Edo Period. The first inlaid in gold takazogan with flying cranes, the reversed signed on a rain scratched ground; the second inlaid with a katana in gold and shakudo takazogan, unsigned; the third with samurai in battle, unsigned; the fourth with two wrestler, unsigned; the fifth with two tortoises, waves and rockery, unsigned, the sixth with roofs and foliage, unsigned; the seventh with saddle, samurai helmet and tanto, unsigned. - 3 3/4 in. high.

PROVENANCE: Donated by Mr and Mrs. R. Austin Tydings to The Roland Park Country School, Baltimore, MD, in 1980s.
