AFRICAN DAN MASK. Ivory Coast and Liberia. Fine idealized "Gunyegu" mask, with fine high forehead, gently flared nose, downturned relief lips, and fiber beard attached to pointed chin. A metal empowering nail extends from center. Very fine black smooth patina with areas of deposits, especially on forehead and encrusted material in the lips, with very fine holes along the perimeter. Custom base. - 8 1/2 in. high.
