PAIR PERSIAN MARKET FRENCH BLUE OPALINE CANDLE HOLDERS WITH PRISMS AND CHIMNEY. 19th Century. Transfer and hand painted to depict Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar (1831-1896) on one side and painted with the coat-of-arms on the other side. the stem with floral decoration on blue ground, gilt hightlights. - Overall: 24 3/4 in. high.

Chips to the prisms, not all the prisms are of the same size, one prism missing. Chips to the rim of the chimneys and one chimney with a chip on the upper right side of the coat of arms. The Shah image is printed and then painted on top. Rubbing to the gold.
